NOT YOUR TYPICAL PITCH COMPETITION

This innovation challenge is designed by and for the people who keep primary care running every day — the MOAs, nurses, QI leads, receptionists, clinic managers, and staff who see the system from the inside out.

For years, you’ve been quietly innovating — testing, adjusting, and evolving how care is delivered. That is innovation. Now it’s time to flip the script on who gets to lead it.

💰$10,000 in Prizes💰

Awarded to the TOP 3 Pitches - because your bold ideas deserve investment, not just applause.

💡The Challenge Question

If the people who do the work should change the work.  What’s one part of your job or team’s routine that you’d RADICALLY REDESIGN to improve patient care access and staff well-being?

Answer the challenge question with your real-world idea by explaining the problem you are addressing, presenting the solution/idea in team video (4-minute limit).

* Extra points for creativity. Get inventive and think outside the box to get the judging committee’s attention.

Who Can Apply

We’re inviting medical office assistants (MOAs), nurses, nurse practitioners, licensed practical nurses (LPNs), receptionists, clinic administrators, quality improvement and referral coordinators, healthcare students, and anyone else on Alberta’s frontline of primary care. Applicants can apply solo or as a team with up to 5 members.
